  • A wide range of sealing devices are used in various machines.
Sealing devices serve the following functions:

  • Oil seals are typically made from a variety of materials, including rubber,PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), and various metals. Each material offers unique benefits depending on the specific application and operating conditions. For instance, rubber oil seals are well-suited for applications that require flexibility and resistance to high temperatures, while PTFE seals are renowned for their chemical resistance and low friction properties.
  • If there are curved seals, fit these to the engine. Smear sealant on the seal groove, stick the seal in place, and apply a blob of sealant to each end of the seal where it joins the gasket.

  • When selecting an oil seal, it is important to consider factors such as the type of fluid being sealed, the temperature and pressure ranges, and the speed at which the shaft or piston will rotate. This will help ensure that the seal is compatible with the specific requirements of the application and will provide the necessary level of protection.
  • Clean all dirt and oil from the housing, and set the new seal in place with its open (spring) side towards the engine.

  • Types Of Oil Seal Offer

  • Regular maintenance, including proper lubrication, routine inspections, and scheduled replacements, ensures the longevity and reliability of oil seals, enhancing overall machine efficiency.
  • The quality of the rubber or rubber fabric used to make an outer case is the same as the quality of the rubber sealing lip. Fabric reinforced rubber is, as the name suggests, rubber reinforced with a fabric.

  • PTFE oil seals are a testament to engineering innovation. The unique properties of PTFE make it an ideal material for these seals. Its non-stick surface ensures minimal resistance during the rotation or movement, thereby enhancing the efficiency of machinery. Furthermore, PTFE's excellent chemical inertness allows it to withstand exposure to a wide range of lubricants and oils, preventing degradation and prolonging the lifespan of the seal.

  • Spark plug wires are a critical component in the ignition system of your car. They transmit the high voltage electrical current from the ignition coil to the spark plugs, which then ignite the air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. Over time, these wires can become worn or damaged, leading to poor engine performance and potentially even engine damage. Therefore, it is essential to test your spark plug wires regularly to ensure they are in good condition.

  • Regular maintenance and inspection of the oil seal are crucial for preventing such issues. It's essential to check for signs of wear, such as leaks or cracks, and replace the seal promptly if any damage is detected. Neglecting this simple task could result in severe consequences, impacting the overall productivity of the farm.
  • Despite their thinness, these gaskets exhibit exceptional durability. They can withstand repeated compression and decompression without losing their sealing ability, a testament to their inherent resilience. However, like all materials, rubber gaskets do degrade over time, necessitating regular inspection and replacement.
  • A well-designed and properly installed 6.0% 20Valve Cover Gasket is essential for optimal engine performance and longevity. When this gasket fails, it can lead to a range of issues, including oil leaks, coolant leaks, and even engine damage. Oil leaks, in particular, can cause serious problems as they can contaminate the engine oil, leading to reduced lubrication and ultimately causing engine failure.
  • The metal used in the outer case of oil seals is usually made of carbon steel. Upon request, and depending on quantities, a different type of steel (such as stainless steel) can be used.

  • All are fitted with a spring to preload the sealing lip. All these types are for non-pressurised or low-pressure applications up to 0.5 bar for diameters of a limited size. For diameter of 500 mm or more, the maximum pressure is 0.1 bar. For higher pressures, special types or PTFE lip seals can be used.
